Mocapay recognizes how important it is to be involved with trade organizations. Doug Dwyre, Mocapay's CEO, encourages employees to join committees of many organizations including Electronic Transaction Association (ETA) and Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). One organization he is very supportive of is W.net. Due to this, both, Karen Moritzky Bigelow and Gina Gilbert are now committee members of the local W.net LINC here in Denver. Karen started as the committee Treasurer, but has recently taken over the roll of Co-Chair and Gina is the Secretary.
The Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions (W.net) is a phenomenal organization. The following description from their website says it all.
W.net is the premier electronic transactions organization dedicated solely to women in the field. From its very beginnings and through today, W.net’s goal has been and remains a simple one – to provide a forum to inspire and empower women in the electronic transactions industry through networking opportunities, mentoring programs, and the overall promotion of women in the industry by enabling them to maximize their potential and position them for greater success.
Karen and Gina have both attended the Career and Leadership Summit that is put on by W.net each year, in addition to going to the Super LINC during ETA’s tradeshow. Last year, they both worked with a committee in Denver to start the Denver LINC, which has proven to be one of the most successful events in the country.
Karen is also a member of ETA’s Mobile Payments Committee and the Program Planning Committee for their Transact 14 event. She was involved last year on a mobile committee for MMA as well.
As Mocapay grows, our employees will be even more involved in organizations these organizations and more. This will help us thrive as leaders in educating consumers and merchants about mobile, as well as to sharing best-demonstrated practices and more.
